FLASHBACK POST

HEY GUYS!

Photo Cred: Thescriptofficial Facebook page
On the 20th of June last year I went and saw The Script live in Croke Park, they are my all time favourite band it honestly was such a good gig! I never put any photos up of the concert really on any of my social media platforms so I thought it would be cool to do a flashback post of the concert since it was around this time last year! Sorry most of the photos are just of Danny!

So to begin, we got the concert bus up to the gig which was class because there was such a good atmosphere! and I was just done my Leaving Cert exams so I was absolutely buzzing.
When we got there we walked straight to the stadium so we could queue up and almost immediately we were brought into Croke Park. My friend, Melanie and I were on another lever of excitement. After a little while a support act came on, his name was Colton Avery, I think,  he was very good. But after that The Wailers came on, I didn't even know that they were part of the line up, they were class!

To make things even better, Pharrell was set to come on next, shortly afterwards he did.
Pharrell, was the coolest most chilled out performer, he let his Baes do most of the entertaining. He was surprised that we (the crowd) actually knew a lot of his music. The Baes are basically his dancers but they consist of all girls, they are amazing! And could have been an act in themselves! At this point Mel and I would have been content to go home, Pharell could have easily headlined Croke Park himself. Before he finished his set he sang Happy, and brought up a load of kids from the crowd, and not just from the standing area kids from the seats even got to get on stage, it was just so nice and really added to the electric atmosphere in the stadium! Gotta love this photo I got of him!
You know whats next, The Script were finally due to come on, I will never forget the feeling of seeing them walk through Croke Park to the stage, I was completely starstruck (sad right), I even may have teared up a bit! It was just so admirable and inspiring to see an Irish band do so well, selling out Croke Park, a stadium in their hometown. (That and I just love Danny!)

The Script played for a solid two hours, and their set was amazingly varied, to cater for all seats. Half way through the concert they even came out at a stage which would have been behind me and right in front of the center seats. They sang so many songs including material from previous albums. They even did the 'call prank thing' they do at some concerts to the song 'Nothing'. It's where they ask for an audience members phone, and get them to ring there ex, it is honestly the funniest thing ever! Well not for the poor ex on the receiving end of it! Honestly look it up, they have done it at a few concerts.
It was an electric evening, one I will never forget for many reasons, mainly because it marked the end of my exams, and that was such an unreal feeling! A year on I am still a huge fan of the Script and cannot wit for them to come back with new music!!!!!!!

I hope any Script fans enjoyed this post and more importantly the pics!!I love going to concerts, and pretty much would listen to anybody, I am going to see Kodaline in Marlay Park this July, I have already been to see Jason Derulo and Little Mix this year so I might do posts about them I'll see.Oh I've got Selena Gomez in November as well, which is ages away but still nice to it to look forward to!
And I'm certain that heart was for me Danny!

Fly high always,
