BLOG REVAMP
17:31:00
Hiya! Hope ye are all having a good week and enjoyed the bit of sunshine we were blessed with.
:)
I am sorry, I know I haven't blogged in awhile and this post is going to explain why. 'A little bird told me' is going through a bit of a change I am certain it is for the better. Keep reading, and it will all make sense.
I started 'A little bird told me', mainly because I needed a new hobby, I loved to write and being on social media so I figured why not! I follow beauty and fashion blogs so I automatically made mine the same without putting much thought in. My Grandad passed away about two weeks ago and it made me reevaluate everything in my life. I came to the conclusion that I spend too much time stressed and unhappy. Without a doubt I am a severe sensible Sally, this quality of mine causes me to overthink every little detail, care too much about small things and basically has made me into the biggest worry wart ever!
Based on recent events, I made a promise to myself to stop trying to please everyone else, to stop caring what everyone thinks and to just live life how I would like to! If it is one thing that I have learned from my Grandad dying so suddenly is that life truly is too short to spend it pretending to be someone else! Be true to yourself!
Because of this I have realised I am not being myself by writing about different beauty products and clothes. In reality I'm not a girly girl, I'm a bit of a tom boy. I rarely wear make up, and to be honest if I don't have work you will find me in fitness leggings or sweats! Now don't get me wrong on a night out I will have you fooled!
So, I am revamping my blog, I started an all ladies fitness camp this week. I felt so much better after the class, the same feeling I used to get from coming out of a good dance class, I missed this feeling! I have decided that 'A little bird told me', will now be transformed into a health and fitness blog. I'm a very picky eater, which I think will be great for those other bland eaters out there to see what I am going to try eat. So many fitness bloggers have all these amazing recipes/ blog posts about certain meals and it is very rare that I would even attempt to make any of them because there are so many foods I don't like!
The fitness camp is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, on days I don't attend a class I am going to do home workout using the bodycoach tv on youtube (a.k.a Joe Wicks). I am going to make Sunday or Saturday my rest day. I think it is important that you have a rest/cheat day. It helps you get rid of cravings ( tayto waffles are my guilty pleasure!). Also letting your body to refuel so it is ready to get back at it the following day!
I am going to document my progress on my blog, if you have any questions don't hesitate to snap me @robsx1 :)
Heres to a fresh start!
Fly high,
Robyn X
